The BRASA Scholarship Program , now for undergraduate and graduate studies, covers part of university costs and expenses such as housing and food abroad.
The scholarship is calculated according to socioeconomic status, external financial support, university costs and course duration.
Open to Brazilians studying undergraduate or postgraduate studies abroad, the program expands support to students aiming at academic and professional advancement.
Prerequisites
Undergraduate
Be Brazilian, born or naturalized;
Have been accepted or be completing a full undergraduate degree in any
university abroad with graduation scheduled for a date starting in December 2024;Prove financial need to receive the BRASA Scholarship through
documents such as Income Tax and, if applicable, a letter granting financial aid or scholarship from the university.
Postgraduation

Who can participate in the selection process for the BRASA Scholarship Program - Postgraduate Studies?Regarding BRASA's postgraduate scholarship vacancies, for the person to be eligible and have their application analyzed by the responsible BRASA team, they must: Be Brazilian, born or naturalized; Have been accepted or be completing a full postgraduate course (master's or doctorate) at a university abroad with graduation scheduled for December 2024 or later; Prove financial need to receive the BRASA Scholarship through documents proving income and a letter granting financial aid from the university.

Who can participate in the selection process for the BRASA Scholarship Program - Undergraduate?To be eligible to apply for a BRASA undergraduate scholarship, the candidate must: Being Brazilian, born or naturalized. Have been accepted or be completing a full undergraduate course at a university abroad with graduation scheduled for December 2022 or later. Prove financial need to receive the BRASA Scholarship through documents such as Income Tax and Letter of financial aid granted by the university if the candidate is a beneficiary of the same.

Is it mandatory to have financial need to apply?Yes. The candidate must demonstrate financial need to justify receiving the BRASA Scholarship to be eligible for the Program.

Can I register even if I am already studying outside of Brazil?Yes. All candidates who are already completing a full undergraduate course at a university abroad and are expected to graduate in December 2024 or later are eligible.

What is the value of the scholarship offered?The scholarship will be awarded to cover the payment of tuition or annual fees for courses, living expenses (housing, transportation, food, academic opportunities and/or essential academic materials for learning or research). The amount of the scholarship provided by BRASA will be defined according to the academic profile, socioeconomic status, financial support already received from third parties, university costs and the duration of the course that the person is taking or will take. BRASA will seek to cover the demonstrated financial need; however, the amount of the scholarship may vary in relation to the amount requested and will be defined by BRASA, at its discretion, at the end of the Program selection process.

I intend to start my undergraduate degree, I have already completed the application process for universities abroad, but I have not yet received any approval, can I apply for the BRASA Scholarship Program?We ask that candidates submit the application form only when they have already been accepted or are studying at a university abroad. To submit the application form, candidates do not need to have already chosen the educational institution they will study at. However, it is important to note that the candidate's participation in the Panel with BRASA Presidents stage will only be officialized after sending the Proof of Enrollment in cases where this was not initially submitted via the application form.

Is the scholarship offered renewed annually?Scholarship holders interested in renewing their scholarship undertake to submit their higher education transcripts and documents proving financial need annually. BRASA will conduct an annual review of the scholarships based on an analysis of financial need, academic performance, fulfillment of due commitments by the scholarship holders and availability of BRASA resources.
